Chris continues campaign to tackle ‘fleecehold’ management companies

Milton Keynes North’s Labour MP, Chris Curtis, is continuing his campaign to take on management companies charging city residents extortionate fees for poor levels of service.

In June, Chris grilled the Managing Director of management company FirstPort, which manages estates like Redhouse Park in Milton Keynes, for their failings to carry out work on properties while increasing fees.

Now, Chris is asking for residents who live in Milton Keynes North and have experienced issues with their management company to share their experiences, so that he can use this evidence to highlight to management companies their failings, and campaign more effectively for change in the system nationally.

The Labour Government announced plans to reform the leasehold system in their first King’s Speech. Chris wants to use the experiences of local people to make sure these changes are effective and come forward quickly.

Chris said, “Too many people in our city are stuck in situations where they are being forced to pay enormous fees for sub-par services by unaccountable management companies. I’m asking for residents to share their experiences with me so I can tell these companies that enough is enough.”
